We are proud to welcome representatives from the Bexar County Buffalo Soldiers Association, a nonprofit founded in 1999 to preserve and share the legacy of the 9th and 10th Cavalries, 24th and 25th Infantries, and Black Seminole Scouts. Through historical education, youth mentoring, color guard presentations, and public outreach, they honor the contributions of African American soldiers during the Indian War periods of 1866–1890s.
The association operates the Buffalo Soldiers Peace Park & Museum in San Antonio and partners with schools, churches, and Texas Parks & Wildlife to inspire future generations with stories of courage, resilience, and service.
“We Can, We Will!”
